PATRICIA CRAVEN Obituary

CRAVEN, Patricia Mary "Patty" Age 45, of West Roxbury, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 surrounded by her family after a sudden illness. Cherished daughter of Patricia (McCarthy) Craven and the late Honorable John J. Craven, Jr. Granddaughter of the late state representative from Roxbury the Honorable John J. Craven, Sr., former Boston City Councilor the Honorable Katherine Kane Craven, and Robert and Patricia McCarthy. Adored sister of Katherine Craven Kryzanski and her husband, Dr. James Kryzanski of Chestnut Hill, John Robert Craven, Esq. and his wife, Laura Stock Craven, Esq. of West Roxbury. Devoted Auntie to Delia, Joseph, James, John FX, and Fianna Kryzanski, Jane and Rose Craven, and the late Mary Erin Kryzanski. Cherished niece of Patricia Ross of Dedham, Sheila and James Middleton of Milton, Kathleen Passanisi of West Roxbury, Barbara Ellen Craven Broderick of Quincy, Diana Thompson Craven of Virginia, Richard Borek of South Carolina, Timothy and Nina Craven of Dedham, and the late Maureen Slade of Hyde Park, Pauline Qazilbash, Francis Xavier Craven, Brendan Michael Craven, Susan Borek, Donald Slade, Charles Passanisi, Asaf Qazilbash, Jay Broderick and Robert McCarthy. Beloved cousin to countless loving cousins. Dear friend of Karen Powell of West Roxbury since infancy. Everybody's favorite Craven, Patty was the life of any party, which truly did not start until she arrived. If you knew one of us, you also knew Patty because she was an integral part of our lives. Born in Boston in an early season snowstorm on November 10, 1976, Patty enjoyed life and never hesitated to tell you what she thought of you, which most of the time was a warmly smiling hearty "I love you." Patty loved, in no particular order, going to church, voting, ice cream, hanging out with her friends and family, living independently with her roommates and staff of MAB Community Services, making jokes, music, year-round Christmas carols, cake, pizza parties and only the best jumbo shrimp. Be like Patty: Tell people that you love them because life is short. The Craven and Kryzanski families welcome friends and loved ones to Celebrate Patty's Life on Monday, October 3, 2022, in the Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY, from 4:00 â€" 8:00 p.m. Funeral from the Gormley Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow in Mount Benedict Cemetery. To livestream Patty's funeral, please visit: www.sttheresaparishboston.com In lieu of flowers, donations to the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress or MAB Community Services where Patty lived for the past four years would be gratefully accepted. My mother was a Boston Public School teacher. She was a Special Education teacher at the Mattahunt School in Mattapan. She had the pleasure of knowing Patty when she was in the preschool. Then, Patty enjoyed the dress up area in my mother´s classroom. Patty liked the glittery purses my mother had.
