PATRICK HAYES Obituary
Patrick moved to Dennis in 1999 where he oversaw Siena's operations and participated in civic and charitable projects. He was a lover of the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics, food shows, mysteries and all things Irish and British. He loved spending time with his family and friends and with "sand in his shoes" loved travelling. He enjoyed following his children and friends around the world. He was a thoughtful and loving man who always reminded his family and friends to "keep the faith". Beloved husband of the late Susan E. (Martin) Hayes. Devoted father of Terrence P. Hayes and his wife Lara of Arlington, Sarah E. Hayes of Ventura, CA and Anne M. Hayes of Dennis. Loving grandfather of Casey. One of nine siblings, he was brother of Charles Hayes of Atlanta, GA, Maggie Campbell of Braintree, Kevin Hayes of Hanover, Tessie Doyle of Rockland and pre-deceased by Bernie and David Hayes, Jane Joubert and Helen Hayes. Patrick is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, QUINCY, Wednesday, March 25th at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours at the funeral home Tuesday 4 - 8 p.m. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery, West Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patrick's memory may be made to Father Bill's Place, 422 Washington St., Quincy, MA 02169 or to the National Blood Clot Alliance, 110 North Washington St., Suite 328, Rockville, MD 20850. To Pat's family, Hayes and Martins, Bob and I send our thoughts and sympathy. Through so many years, from Pittsfield to the Cape,and on oh so many occasions, we enjoyed and admired Pat.
We shared lots of fun and sorrow too.
He was a good and great man.

To All the Family of Patrick Hayes,
I was stationed as a newly ordained priest at St. Charles Church in Pittsfield Ma.from 1960-1968 and was priviliged to work with the Hayes family throughout those years. I always marveled at the parent's as they managed to raise & educate their children with love in a home that radiated with Faith & deeply rooted in love. The Hayes family was always looked upon as a model Catholic, Christian home,based on love for each other and love for their Church of
St. Charles. This was the basis & root of Patrick's upbringing. I will offer and celebrate a Mass for Pat and for the intentions of all his grieving family. My Prayers to the Hayes family, especially Terry and Kevin, as well as the entire Siena family. Pat gave me the chance to be great by bringing me to Siena and I will never forget him for that opportunity. His mentorship, especially when it came to decision making and creative solutions, are invaluable lessons I still use today. Godspeed, Patrick.
