My thoughts and prayers are for Ron and his family. I will miss him and his gentle spirit and wonderful sense of humor. He loved life and experienced it to the fullest. The stories he told of travelling the world always added to our day. Betsy our thoughts and prayers are with you and Ron's family. Indeed Kingsley will not be the same next winter.

I am so sorry for Betsy and for all of Ron's family members. I don't think I have ever met someone as smart, sweet, successful and unassuming as Ron. He had such a gentle nature about him that you would never know how accomplished he was. Although it was upsetting to see Ron sick that last couple weeks at his volunteer job for the NPS, it was nice being able to spend just a little more time with him. I can only hope to acquire half his wit and intelligence in my lifetime. Thanks Ron for all the smiles!

My sincerest condolence to all of the Schutt family. Ron was a special person and truly devoted to his profession. We worked together in Lexington from 1972 to 1986. Rest in peace, my friend and colleague.

My younger sister passed Mr Schutt's obituary along last night. He was my AP calculus teacher at Lexington High back in the early 60's. I remember he was kind and a great teacher! He nurtured all of us along. In retrospect, I appreciated his support, something not all female students got in math back in those days. Because of his good teaching, in my own work as a professor of sociology, I've always encouraged our more number-phobic students to believe they, too, can succeed in math! I hope all of your memories are as fond as mine are.

My sincerest condolences to both Betsy and the entire Schutt family on your loss. I had the good fortune to have known Ron not only as one of his LHS students but later as an adult & neighbor to he & Betsy at Boulder Hills. He played a very important part in my becoming the adult I am and for giving me the tools & skills I needed to succeed later when I entered the Computer field. I will forever be indebted to this very gentle, kind and decent LHS Giant of a man and he will never be forgotten for me!

Fond memories include many meals together at NEA Board of Directors meetings and many happy hours closing our Brewster cottage. Ron gave one of his inimitable tributes at my 80th birthday celebration and I will treasure the printed copy. Mary Ann & I have also spent many good times with Ron & Ione, then Ron & Betsy. All our family will miss him, more than words can express.
With sincere condolences to all the family,
