I still think of Ron almost every day.

I am very sorry for this sad loss. Ton will be missed by friends and family.

My thoughts and prayers are for Ron and his family. I will miss him and his gentle spirit and wonderful sense of humor. He loved life and experienced it to the fullest. The stories he told of travelling the world always added to our day. Betsy our thoughts and prayers are with you and Ron's family. Indeed Kingsley will not be the same next winter.

I am so sorry for Betsy and for all of Ron's family members. I don't think I have ever met someone as smart, sweet, successful and unassuming as Ron. He had such a gentle nature about him that you would never know how accomplished he was. Although it was upsetting to see Ron sick that last couple weeks at his volunteer job for the NPS, it was nice being able to spend just a little more time with him. My sincerest condolence to all of the Schutt family. Ron was a special person and truly devoted to his profession. We worked together in Lexington from 1972 to 1986. Rest in peace, my friend and colleague.

My younger sister passed Mr Schutt's obituary along last night. He was my AP calculus teacher at Lexington High back in the early 60's. I remember he was kind and a great teacher! He nurtured all of us along. In retrospect, I appreciated his support, something not all female students got in math back in those days. Because of his good teaching, in my own work as a professor of sociology, I've always encouraged our more number-phobic students to believe they, too, can succeed in math! I...
