Arthur Doyle

DOYLE Arthur "Gerry" of Fall River, formerly of Hull and Hanover, died Monday, June 21, 2010. Beloved husband of Melissa Costa Doyle of Fall River. Loving father of Shaun Doyle and his wife Kristie of Hanson and Katherine Doyle of Brockton. Grandfather "Papa" to his precious Victoria and happily expecting the arrival of his second grandchild. Loving son of Marilyn (Mee) Doyle of Hingham and the late Arthur Doyle. Brother of Ellen Laramee and her husband Ron of Duxbury and Deborah Doyle-Scully of Hull. Cousin of Harriet Nugent of Hull. Son in law of Ronald and Roberta Costa of Fall River. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Gerry's life was centered around his family. A well known Pop Warner football coach, he taught countless children in Hull, Hingham, Hanover and Fall River, becoming a father-figure to many. Active in his Parish, Gerry taught CCD for many years and was part of the planning committee for the new church in Hull. He was passionate about politics at all levels and was currently working on a campaign for a local candidate. He loved to cook, enjoyed time by the ocean and NYC. Gerry was a compassionate, sentimental and thoughtful person who seized every moment of his life. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday from 4:00 P.M. 8:00 P.M. in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Guests will gather at the funeral home Saturday at 9:15 A.M. prior to a Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in St. Ann's Church (corner of Samoset and Lewis St.) Hull, Saturday at 10:00 A.M. A Celebration of Gerry's Life Memorial Sharing will follow at 11:15 A.M. and take place in the Hull Knights of Columbus Hall (440 Nantasket Ave.) leading into a relaxed reception for his family and friends.
