Marianne Ryan Obituary

RYAN Marianne “Oma” (Jrg) Ryan of East. Wareham, April 24, 2015, 80. Wife of the late Robert M. Ryan. Born in Augsburg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Franz Xaver Jrg and Franziska (Strack) Wendlenger and step-daughter of the late Johann Wendlenger. Mrs. Ryan came the United States in 1955. She was a former employee of the “Turnstyle” in Brighton, Monast Country Store and Sandy’s Day Care. She has lived in Wareham for 40 years. Mrs. Ryan enjoyed cooking, was a member of the German Club in Hyannis and was a former Coca Cola model. She is survived by her children, John Ryan and his wife Jeanne of Braintree, Joseph Ryan, Kevin Ryan and Margaret Ryan all of East Wareham, Ingrid Marino and her husband Richard of Waltham and Patricia Robbins and her husband Glenn, Sr. of Plymouth; her brother, Horst Wendlenger and his wife Hilda of Augsburg, Germany; her grandchildren, Sean, Derek and Samantha Ryan, Allison and Stephen Marino, Alex Ryan, Glenn and Meaghan Robbins, Kevin, Nicholas, Emily and Michelle Ryan and Robert Ryan-Brooks; her great grandchildren, Gianna, Corbin, Sophia, Daniel, Sofia and Alyssa. She was predeceased by her children, the late Robert Ryan and James Ryan; her brothers, the late Leo Wendlenger, Paul Jrg, Franz Jrg and Joe Wendlenger. She was the Godmother of the late Pamela Rae Ryan. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), WAREHAM at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4:00 P.M. 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. mom,in 2013 you where diagnosed with cancer,surgery,chemo,radiation,the fight was on,we where in it together,you fought so hard and gave it your all,when you told me you loved me I knew the end was coming soon but you still gave me that beautiful German smile,You where my best friend,love you forever,give dad and Joe kisses and hugs from me.
