Cheryl Rodgers Obituary

SMETHPORT - Cheryl L. "Bean" Rodgers, 74, of Smethport passed away unexpectedly Wednesday (Feb. 5, 2025) at her home.
She was born Aug. 1, 1950, in Port Allegany, the daughter of Alfred and Artie (Bells) Cochran. On April 15, 1967, in Coryville, she married Clyde E. Rodgers, who died Jan. 1, 2017.
Bean attended Smethport Area High School and worked at Bradford Chocolate Factory.
She was a life member of VFW Post 2497 of Smethport. She loved baking, boating and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie L. (Troy) Regis of Duke Center and AmyJo (Todd) Gross of Bradford; one son, Paul E. (Sherry) Rodgers of Bradford; grandchildren Chelsea (Andy) Eliason, Kortney and Hailea Regis, Curtis (Maggie) Rodgers, Katelynn, Sydney and Lacey Rodgers, Travis (Ashly) Gross and Samantha Gross; two great-grandchildren, Brynn and Kohen Eliason; one sister, Susan (Joseph) Nichols of Bradford; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bean was preceded in death by a son, Randy Guy Rodgers; two brothers, Butch and Bernie Cochran; and three sisters, Margaret Nye, Shirley Barnett and Gloria Galentine.
Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Bean's life from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 8, 2025) at Smethport VFW Post 2497.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Smethport VFW Post 2497 Kitchen Fund. Online condolences may be made at hartle-tarboxfuneralhomes.com.
