Robert Crowe, born on Sept. 24, 1944, passed away on Aug. 23, 2024, with his wife, Sharon, and daughters, Melinda and Melissa, by his side. After a prolonged battle with Alzheimer's, he has found rest, free from the suffering that accompanied his final years.
Robert was a man who found solace in the outdoors. His true passion was hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and reflect in solitude.
These moments in the wild brought him peace and fulfillment. Robert also spent most of his adult life as a Barber and a Prudential Insurance agent. He also had an avid passion for golf and, alongside his wife, Sharon, helped run and manage Hillcrest Country Club with his parents, Ken and Reinette Crowe. Many may remember the vast amount of fish fries that he held not only at the golf course but at the Fair Foundation which so many people enjoyed. These roles and passions shaped much of his life and the connections he made with others in the community.
Robert is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sharon Crowe, who remained by his side through all of life's challenges. His daughters, Melinda (Daniel) McHale and Melissa (Shannon) Stockman; along with his six grandchildren, Braden (Hannah), Cohen, Tyler, Nick, Megan and Kevin; and six great-grandchildren as well as another blessing on the way. They all carry forward the lessons they learned from him, both in the ways they cherish and the ways they choose to grow.
He is also survived by his brothers, Richard Crowe and Thomas Crowe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Reinette Crowe, and his brother, Kenneth Crowe.
In his passing, we choose to remember Robert for the qualities that made him who he was, and we acknowledge that life is a journey of both light and shadow. May he now find peace in rest and may those who knew him find peace in the memories they hold.
The family has chosen to not have a service at this time. Robert chose to be an anatomical gift at the University of Toledo. UT does host a memorial service for all those that choose to bequest for educational and research purposes the following year.
Memorials can be made to the Williams County Fair Foundation or the Williams County Pheasants Forever.

My sincere sympathy to Sharon and the family. Bob was a good friend to my husband and I. They golfed together and drank coffee at Rowes. Bob cut hair in my shop for many years. He was a great guy. Rest in peace, Bob!
