Ken was one of my best childhood friends from his time living in Bellevue (Cheektowaga). While there he acquired the nick-name "Cheech". I cannot remember why but it stuck with him till he moved away to S. Buffalo. To this day 9/6 when I saw his obituary I've never forgotten him and cherished the memories we made. From school, to street hockey, ice hockey, pick up baseball games, going on fishing trips to Canada with my father, and to the many concerts we'd go to. After joining the Navy in 83, I never returned to Buffalo but continued to look up him and all my other friends from so long ago through the internet. I liked to keep tabs in case I came back for visiting and would try to arrange for a possible short visit. Needless to say this is not what I wanted to find. I'm so sad to learn of this. So Kenny "Cheech" my long ago friend I will always have you in my memories till one day I can re-connect with you for another pick up game.... your choice or maybe another concert too! You're in good company there. Rest peacefully my fellow Veteran, Sempre Fi... you've been properly relieved, I now have the watch.
