Of Hamburg, NY, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2023, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of 52 years to James Cocina; loving mother of Amy (Steve), Jon (Sarah) and Ryan (Caitlin) Cocina; cherished grandmother of Owen and Eli Rogovic, Mira, Ada, Sadie, and Nellie Cocina; dear sister of Michelle (Donald) Emerling, Cindy (John)Wapner, Wendy (late Fred) Conway, Michael (Susan), Greg, and Timothy (Marguerite) Bobseine; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Marcie worked as a nurse for many years and then became the co-owner of South Towns Appliance in Hamburg with her husband James. She enjoyed gardening, painting, journaling and reading, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. All are welcome to attend a memorial service on Saturday, Sept. 30 at SS Peter & Paul Church, 66 E. Main St. Hamburg at 12 PM. Marcie's family will also host a celebration of life from 4PM – dusk on Friday, Sept 29 at the Casino at Chestnut Ridge Park. Mournful attire is discouraged. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave. Hamburg. Please share online condolences at www.demmerleyfuneralhome.com.
