What a shock. My deepest condolences to the Verdi and Higgins families. I remember Mollie from 8th grade in Campus School. She and Maria Sciandra and I were the "Fox Force Three" of eighth grade-- a beautiful tall Irish redhead, a stunning italian brunette and a Berkeley- Icelandic blonde-- and we had so much fun laughing and growing up together, discussing boys, teachers and homework. She was so full of life force and energy-- she had a sparkle about her that was impishly charming.. I just can't believe she is gone at such a young age--- but I know she is in the loving hands of our Lord now. Strangely, about 4 years ago, I was called to pray for Mollie for an unknown reason-- out of the blue..! I tried to contact her by email to no avail-- when I saw that her dear mother and then her son had died-- after I googled her name. I wish I had tried harder to contact her then but I had not seen her in 46 years or so. I remember visiting Mollie at their beautiful old mansion in Buffalo. Her older brother loved Diana Ross and had his room decorated with pictures of the Supremes. Her lovely mother had such long thick flaming red hair and she was was so beautiful and strict. I loved it. Mollie took me sailing on her sunfish sailboat on lake Erie. Sailing with Mollie is such a fond memory for me. Dearest Mollie - you are dearly missed and I hope one day we will meet again with our Lord Yeshua. You were once a very special person in my young life and you are very much missed!

There is so much I could write about Mollie. I first met her when we worked together at GRCC. There was a group of us from GRCC that met on Tuesdays to play volleyball, to ski and took trips white water rafting. Mollie was the ring leader. We attended each others weddings and through the years saw each others' children grow. What a wonderful loving mother she was loving each for their own special traits. And her humor, often times irreverant but never ill intentioned. Such a bright, generous, courageous peron! Mollie, I am a better person to have had th e pleasure of knowing you and I will miss you! With love and affection, Maggie

To "Mr. Verdi who asked to be called Gerry and family,
I had the honor to work with Gerry and Mollie at School 84. Few mothers showed the devotion and advocacy for a child the way only Mollie could. She inspired those of us with life's little miseries to live life to the fullest. She adored her three children, her husband, and the rest of her family.
I could write a book about this beautiful, generous lady and I knew her oh so briefly. If only words could soothe your grief.

Dear Ben and family,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Verdi. I have known Ben for years at Le Moyne. He is such a wonderful student: kind, thoughtful, easy to talk to. I can only imagine he is the wonderful young man he is because of his lovely mother. I wish you all comfort as you navigate this difficult time. Ben, we are thinking of you at Le Moyne.

I remember Mary Higgins from St. Martins Elementary School. As memory serves you lived on Turner Drive (Onondaga Ave for me) and you were a very nice and kind school chum and person.
Rest well and know that you will be in my prayers...
Respectfully,
Mike Kriegbaum
