Francis Naughton Obituary
Francis J. Naughton, 78, of Adams Township, Evans City, died early today at his home.
Born in Pittsburgh, Oct. 11, 1932, he was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine McNally Naughton.
Mr. Naughton was a carpenter for Carpenters Union Local 211 in Pittsburgh.
He served in the U.S. Army during peacetime and was a member of the Cranberry VFW.
He had attended the St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church in Evans City.
Surviving are his wife, Audrey A. Bauer Naughton, who he married Aug. 3, 1957; a son, Joseph L. Naughton (Anne Zahradnik) of Hurley, N.Y.; three daughters, Leeanne Schwartz (Brian) and Lynn M. Whartenby (David), both of Evans City and Christa Carter (William) of Conway, S.C.; and brothers, Thomas (Mary Lou), Robert (Linda) and Daniel (Jan) Naughton.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Naughton; and a sister, Mary Hays.
NAUGHTON - There will be no calling hours for Francis J. Naughton, who died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011. Services with burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Township, and will be private.
Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice, 3500 Brooktree Road, Wexford, PA 15090.
Arrangements are under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Mars, and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.

Fran was a godsend to my family, especially in my mother's time of need. I will always be grateful for the hard work and time that he so freely offered to help my parents. Lots of great memories growing up, spending time with Fran and the rest of the Naughton family. My thoughts go out to all of you during this heartbreaking time. Love from my family to yours.

I always enjoyed Fran's company and he was a good friend to me and always made me laugh.He made work fun,thats something it has not been for a long time
He was always one of the best carpenters I knew and taught me a lot.I always valued his freindship and am so sorry he is gone
