Augustin Lara,Sr.,age 72,was called by Our Heavenly Father on August 28,2018.He was born to Lazaro and Estella Lara

on September 1st,1945,in Edroy,Texas.Augustin was a lifelong resident of Edroy,a graduate of Odem High School

(Class of 1964) and a proud parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Edroy.Augustin wore many hats

throughout his lifetime .He was a farmer,a carpenter,an electrician,a plumber,a mechanic,a fisherman,a gardener,a

grocery manager and a car salesman.But most importantly,Augustin was a husband,a father,a grandfather,a

great grandfather,a son,a brother,an uncle,a cousin,a nephew,a neighbor and a friend.Augustin was always ready

to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.Augustin is preceded in death by both of his parents,two brothers,

(Lazaro,Jr. and Manuel) and his favorite dog,King.He is survived by his wife of 53 years,Maricela Lara of Edroy;

daughters; Anna Alicia (Rudy Moreno) Lara and Angelica Eloisa (Rudy) Vidaurri both of Mathis,Alma (Rene) Perez and Amanda (Jason Lopez) Lara both of Edroy,and Amalia "Angie" (Tom) Silguero of Katy;sons,Adrian (AnnaLisa)

Lara of Edroy and Augustin "AJ" (Valerie) Lara,Jr. of Corpus Christi; nine sisters,31 grandchildren and 13 great

grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Rudy,Jr. and David Moreno,Rene II and Gabriel Perez.Joshua and Jeremy

Vidaurri and Zachary and Joey Aguirre. Honorary Pallbearers will be Claudia Garza (Silguero) and Clarissa

Hernandez (Silguero).Viewing services at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home (Sinton,TX) will begin on Thursday ,

(August 30th) 3 pm - 9 pm and Friday ( August 31st) 9am - 9 pm.Rosary will be recited Friday at 7 pm.Funeral mass

will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Edroy at 10 am on Saturday,September 1st,with burial following at

the Edroy Memorial Cemetery.
