Manuel G. Segura

SEGURA MANUEL G. Segura, 87, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2009. He was born on August 26, 1921 to Manuel Segura and Jacinta Govella Segura and was raised in Ganado, Texas. He married his wife of 52 years on May 12, 1946. Manuel was a loving father. He graduated from Ganado High School in 1937. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. Manuel was employed by Eaton and Otto Plumbing, Gentry Plumbing, and was self-employed for 20 years. He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, his devotion to his family, and his love of gardening. Manuel was a voracious reader. Manuel is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ofelia; daughter, Sandra and son, Manuel Jr.Manuel is survived by his daughters: Olga Ramirez of Carrollton, Texas and Kay Luft of Rockport, Texas and son, Richard Segura of Corpus Christi. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Ruben Ramirez, Rudy Ramirez, Ramsey Ramirez, Rene Ramirez, Ray Ramirez, Richard Segura, and Roland Ramirez.Family to receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Seaside Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., that same evening in the Seaside Funeral Home Chapel.
