Raymond SandersAlice, TXRaymond Lloyd Sanders, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, went to his eternal rest on Friday, February 26, 2016 at the age of 76. He was born to Mary and Marlin Sanders in Freer, Texas on June 17, 1939. Raymond retired from Schlumberger-Anadrill after 29 years of service. He enjoyed watching western movies, fishing, hunting, and he spent a lot of his time in his workshop at home tinkering with anything and everything. But, most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Shawn Miles, two loving aunts, Vera Ester Sneed and Gladys Thorp, his cousin, Billy Lloyd Sneed, and his mother-in-law, Farah Mae Mrazek.Raymond will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 37 years, Elizabeth 'Betty Jo' Sanders of Alice, Texas; his children, Amy L. (Jim) Miles of Boerne, Texas, Kelly L. (Billy) Wise of Lexington, Kentucky, and Richard Scott (Judy) Sanders of Leander, Texas; his step-children, Lee (Chelita) Mitchell of Weatherford, Texas, Frank Scott (Jana) Mitchell of Seadrift, Texas, and Cynthia Jolene (William) Sears of College Station, Texas; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Holmgreen Mortuary with Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel with Dr. David Kimberly officiating.
