Simon Hinojosa, 80, went to be with our Lord on August 07, 2017. He was born on October 07, 1936 in Donna, Texas to Florencio and Sara Olivarez Hinojosa. He was in the National Guard and was the owner of Simon's Electric. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Ruben Hinojosa; and three sisters, Maria Wright, Antonia Ruiz, and Marina Cantu.
He is survived by his wife, Elsa Hinojosa; his children, Orlando (Shelley) Hinojosa, Magda (Albert) Hernandez, Rene (Bridgette) Hinojosa, Fidencio Hinojosa; his brother, Florencio Hinojosa; sisters, Ramona Flores, Evangelina Ochoa, Maria Alma Hinojosa, Santos Garcia, and Eloisa Balboa. He will also be missed by his eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
A rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 09, 2017 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
