Wanda J. ShillingMathis, TXWanda J. Shilling passed away August 9, 2014. She was born September 28, 1925 in Archer City, Texas to Jeffie R. and Laura Huddleston.Mrs. Shilling graduated from Mathis High School in 1944. She retired from Mathis ISD as Food Service Manager after 20 years of service.She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Melvin M. Shilling; grandson; Johnny Grossman and son-in-law, John Grossman.Survivors are: one son; Melvin R. (Carol) Shilling; 2 daughters; Catherine L. Grossman and Linda S. (Lynn) Kirchoff. A sister; Inez (Raymond) Zulauf and brother J.B. (Sue) Huddleston. Grandchildren; Randy (Nanci) Shilling, Lori (Brian) Hays, Daryl Grossman, Bradley Grossman and Kari (Josh) Bartmettler.Great Grandchildren; Blake Shilling, Kyle and Ryne Hays and Bella Grossman. Also sisters-in -law; Dollie Huddleston (Bert), Alice Huddleston and Joyce Huddleston.Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. August 11, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Cenizo Hill Cemetery.She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much and loved to cook and be with all her family.Many thanks to Mary Sanchez, Odelia Perez and Bethany Wanoreck for all the wonderful care of our Mother.
