Brian Burton Obituary

Burton, Brian Lee
Died peacefully on December 19, in Vail, CO and was born January 30, 1953 in Palo Alto, CA. He was an extraordinary man of creative energies, inspirational spirit, and kindness. His passion for the entertainment business always came second to his love for his friends and family. Brian delighted in entertaining friends and sharing his latest project, orchid, French fries or prized treasures. His completely unique perspective touched anyone who ever knew him. His career began at Disney's 16mm division. In 1987, he started Brian Burton Productions, producing and directing American Express adventure films and MCA Home Video promo materials. He was VP, Publicity at Columbia Pictures. He produced and directed EPKs for the motion picture marketing campaigns of Air Force One, As Good As It Gets, Men In Black. He leaves us with a memory of his smiling face and the uncanny gift for showing us a more beautiful world. Survived by his loving partner, Jonathan Johnson, mother and father, Alberta and Tom Burton and brothers Greg, Bruce and Curtis. In lieu of flowers, a trust has been established on behalf of Brian's late brother Trevor's family. Burton Family Memorial Fund, West Coast Bank, #660001066, 21995 N.W. I am so sorry for this loss. Although I only worked with Brian briefly while I was employed at Post Logic, he was always one of my favorite clients. Could be kind of demanding at times....but that was just because he was a perfectionist and alway wanted to do the best job possible. He always was cheerful and had the best smile! He will definately be missed. My love and thoughts go out to you, jj.

xoxo, kathy

Brian, you lived life to the full and transmitted your enthusiasm to all around you. You were too soon taken from your loved ones and friends. We grieve your loss but fill the void with happy memories of you and with love for Jonathan.
