Chris Pantelides Obituary
Age 86 of Canton
Passed away early Saturday morning in Aultman Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Sevreskaya, Russia to the late George and Efrosyni Pantelides; he was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. In 1939 Chris emigrated from Russia to Greece. In the early 1960's he came to the United States finally settling in Canton in 1967. He was the former co-owner, with his brother John, of Canton City Bakery. Chris was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helen (Horozidou) Pantelides; daughter and son-in-law, Fran and Steve Armatas of Canton; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Konstantine and Christine Pantelides of Louisville; grandchildren and spouse, Eleni and Tom Kostakis, Christina Armatas, Aki Pantelides, Athena Pantelides; sister-in-law, Sevasti Pantelides of Canton; and several sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews in Greece and the United States. Family and friends will be received on Sunday (Today) from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Rossi Funeral Home, and Monday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. in church. Trisagion Services will be held at
5 p.m. Sunday (Tonight) in the funeral home. Funeral Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Fr. Daniel Rogich officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Chris' name can be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
