Robert Campbell Obituary
Age 90, of Malvern
died, Wednesday, December 24, 2008 in Aultman Hospital. He was born February 1, 1918 in Dillonvale, Ohio to Charles and Cora (Hinds) Campbell. He was a kiln worker for Structural Stone, was a US Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the Malvern United Methodist Church. Robert was a loving husband, father that never met a stranger. He enjoyed his flowers, gardening and playing his music. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Lou (Distler) Campbell whom he married December 4, 1940; three daughters, Connie Nigro of Minerva, Mary (Michael) Pietrafese of Vonore, TN, Charlotte (Randy) French of Minerva; six sons, Joseph (Peggy) Campbell of Minerva, Kenneth (Doreen) Campbell of Pekin, Ronald (Janet) Campbell of Malvern, Larry (Dorothy) Campbell of Minerva, Robert Campbell of Minerva, Kevin Campbell of Columbus; 27 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Beckett; a son, Robert Lee Campbell, Jr.; three sisters, Florence Yasinka, Wilma Long, Rose Harris; six brothers, James, Charles, Sam, Walter, Joseph and Ralph Campbell. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday in the Malvern United Methodist Church in Malvern with Rev. Allen Hill officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 5-8 p.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva.
