Robert Erickson Obituary
Robert C. Erickson
age 92 passed away in his home Friday, Jan. 24, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born in Kent, Ohio to the late Harry and Bess (Brown) Brittan on Jan. 8, 1921. Bob grew up in Kent and attended Roosevelt High School. He went on to attend Kent State University and graduated from McKinley Law School. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired from EKCO Housework Company as personnel manager after 45 years of service. He served as an auxiliary policeman at the Perry Township Police Department and was a 60-year Masonic member. He enjoyed fishing and gun collecting. He was an avid reader having read more than 130 books in the past year. He valued and taught personal liberty and independence.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jeanne Erickson; son, Jeffrey Todd Erickson; and brother, Captain Theodore Brittan. He will be profoundly missed by children, Robert C. Erickson II M.D. (Marti); stepchildren, Judy Gaff (Ron), John Gresser (Connie), Jeff Gresser (Caroline); 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Suite E., Uniontown, OH 44685. A celebration of life ceremony will be held during the summer of 2013. Arrangements are at the direction of the Ohio Cremation Center.
