Victory Chapman Obituary

Victory M. Chapman
age 92, of Canton, passed away Tuesday evening in ManorCare. Victory was a 1936 graduate of McKinley High School and a World War II veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps. He was the Chief Chemist for the Timken Company retiring after 47 years. Victory enjoyed working on the side as a wedding photographer and writing science fiction novels. He was also a pianist, artist and painter, and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Elizabeth (Heibach) Chapman. Victory is survived by his wife of 71 years, Dorothy; and a son, Eric (Laura) Chapman.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Angels of ManorCare and Heartland Hospice. Funeral service will be Friday, 11 a.m. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW with Rev. Linda Hall officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday (tonight) 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church 2705 6th St. SW Canton, Ohio 44710. You may sign our guest book at:
