Al Hillman Obituary

Al Hillman passed away peacefully on August 7th, 2022. He was born on May 12, 1928 in Boston, Mass. Al graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and served briefly in the Army before he got married and moved to southern Maryland in 1958, joining his brother and uncle in their drug store business. In 1960, he moved to Annapolis to open Leader Drugs with his older brother in the West Annapolis Shopping Center; their younger brother later joined the business, and they went on to open several additional stores in the Baltimore area. Of Al's many accomplishments, his family meant the most to him. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Esther; his children, Debbie (husband Melo), David, Karen (husband Rick), Laura (husband Andy); his grandchildren, Peppe (wife Ariel), Nino (wife Marina), Abby (fiance Ryan), Sarah (husband Rob), Joshua and Zoe; and his great grandchildren, Viola, Bruno and Luca. Funeral services will be private.
