Herman Oster Obituary
Oster, Herman W. Jr., beloved husband of the late Mary Angelia Oster, devoted father of Lynn E. Oster-Jones and the late Donna Hamlett. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mr. Oster was born in Maryland on September 30, 1924 to Herman and Lillian Oster and died at his Pasadena residence on September 26, 2016. He was a supply officer for Ft. Meade for 28 years before retiring in 1972. Mr. Oster served in the U.S. Army during WW II from March 5, 1943 to April 4, 1946. He was a founding member of the Magothy-Chelsea Lutheran Church, a member of the Magothy-Chelsea Seniors, NCEON, American Legion, Elks, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Masons. He enjoyed swimming, gardening and traveling. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Friday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Mr. Oster will lie-in-state in the Magothy-Chelsea Lutheran Church on Saturday from 9:30 to 10 AM. at which time funeral services will be held. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Magothy-Chelsea Lutheran Church 265 Beach Road Pasadena Maryland 21122.
