Nancy Frick Obituary

Nancy was born in Baltimore, MD to John Purnell Linzey and Anna Marie Bosley Linzey. She has three brothers, Jack, David, and Chuck and one sister, Donna. She graduated from Towson Catholic High in 1954 and married her high school sweetheart, Glenn B. Frick, in December 1955. She is survived by their three children, Kathleen Marie Frick Strickler, Timothy John Frick, and Daniel Glenn Frick, their spouses, Carl Strickler, Linda Frick, and Tiffanie Clarkson-Frick, grandchildren, Brian, Matthew, Jacob, Nicolette, Cody, Samantha, John, and Timmy and great grandchildren, Anna, Hugo, and Ben and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was a loving wife, patient mother, and a great cook who loved her family and friends, a party for any reason, and gardening. She became a Master Gardener and helped beautify some of the many places she lived. She had a great singing voice and started singing on the radio station, WCBM, at the age of 2. She also sang and danced on air at The Children's Theater and sang lead roles in her high school, Towson Catholic, operettas. She was a joyful person with a quick wit and a steel trap mind. She lit up any room she entered and will be remembered for her kindness. After traveling the world with Glenn, raising her children, and becoming a widow in 2001, she decided to move back to Maryland to be with her father, brothers and sister. She spent 20 years catching up with family, helping with her grandchildren, eating crab and cheering for the Ravens and Orioles. The great grandchildren were too far away in Oklahoma, so she decided to move and spend her final years here. Sadly, we only had a couple of months with this amazing, loving person before lung cancer took her. She will be greatly missed! Her funeral will be at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond, OK, December 13. There will be a celebration of her life in Westminster, MD sometime after the holidays.

Aunt Nancy surely lit up any room she walked into :) I always referred to her as my crazy Aunt Nancy (in the nicest way possible of course!). I feel like she could wear a boa and a Tierra anywhere at anytime and get away with it! Big hugs to everyone!!!

I was only 4 when Nancy sang at our Aunt Peggy's wedding many years ago. She about 11. She sang Ave Maria and I have loved that song every since. When she was together with family and friend she was a liot of fun. I was sorry when we didn't get to see her with her traveling with the Navy and Glenn. God Bless you Nancy. I will never forget you. I will always remember your smiling face Nancy. It was only a few short months ago that you, your brothers and sister in laws were sitting on our patio wishing you well on your move to Oklahoma. Don passed away shortly after and now you followed. Keep up the cousin´s dinners in heaven. I love you both.
