You were always a better friend to me than I to you. I'm sorry. I am a better person having had you in my life, and I know I'm not alone in that sentiment. Your legacy to me is this: Jonathan, good memories, the love you shared with your wife and stepson, your generosity to all, and a desire in myself to strengthen some of those traits you had mastered - love, tolerance, patience, acceptance. You lived life well. You "fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith". (II Timothy, 4:7). I'll be forever regretful that I let you slip from my life, but grateful and proud that we were friends. You'll be sorely missed.

Godspeed Brian,
John Blackburn

Feel no guilt in laughter, he'd know how much you care.
Feel no sorrow in a smile that he is not here to share.
You cannot grieve forever; he would not want you to.
He'd hope that you could carry on the way you always do.
So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared,
The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared.
Let memories surround you, a word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day,
That brings him back as clearly as though he were still here,
And fills you with the feeling that he is always near.
For if you keep those moments, you will never be apart
And he will live forever locked safely within your heart....

Keeping you all in our thoughts during this most difficult time... Miles and time separate us,but you are still family to me..my love is always with you ..safe travels Brian..till we meet again..

Brian you were a special part of our family and I was blessed to have you have you as a cousin. I know that you had a lot of Angels in Heaven to visit and your mom was probably the first in line. Your mom and Scotty were probably there to greet you with open wings.
