Paul Henning GOOSE CREEK - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Richard Henning, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world on May 19, 2025, in Goose Creek, South Carolina. Born on June 28, 1954, in Buffalo, New York, Paul lived a life rich with love, service, and dedication that touched the lives of all who knew him. Paul was the cherished son of JoAnn (Reeser) Henning and Henry F. Henning. He grew up in the vibrant community of Buffalo, where he attended Emerson Vocational High School, laying a strong foundation for his future endeavors. After high school, Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, dedicating 21 years of his life to military service. He rose through the ranks to become a Master Chief Petty Officer, a title that reflects his esteemed position as a Senior Noncommissioned Officer. His career was marked as he patrolled the oceans, ensuring the safety of America and its citizens. Beyond his military accolades, Paul was known for his unwavering faith and commitment to God. He served as a minister, teaching Bible study and sharing his love for the Lord with those around him. His spirituality was a guiding light in his life and in the lives of others, embodying the principles of kindness, generosity, and love that he so deeply believed in. Paul's legacy continues through his three loving daughters: Tabbitha Grant, Michelle Henning, and Amber Henning and his son, Gregory Henning. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Nichole Henning, Tyler Garrett, Mackenzie Phillips, Amya Hair, Dillon Evans and Kaitlynn Evans. His family was the pride and joy of his life, and he devoted himself to being a loving father and grandfather, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a moment of laughter. Paul had an endearing bond with his siblings, including his sisters, Deborah Lipp, Alice Price (Kevin), Joyce Batycki, and his brothers, Jeffrey (Cooner) Henning and Charles Henning (Doreen). He was also a beloved uncle to 13 nieces and nephews. Throughout his life, Paul enjoyed a variety of interests that brought him joy. He fish and loved making memories with family. Paul loved to surround himself with loved ones, sharing stories, laughter, and the simple pleasures of life. His commitment to family was unwavering; he would do anything for his children, always prioritizing their happiness and well-being above his own. In his later years, Paul faced the challenges of Alzheimer's disease, but even during this difficult time, he was lovingly cared for by his daughter ,Michelle, and her children, Amya and Mackenzie. Their devotion and care exemplified the deep bonds of love and support that Paul fostered throughout his life. Paul Henning was a remarkable man who embodied the values of love, friendship, and service. He was a loving brother, father, husband, and friend, who never asked for anything in return for the generosity of his spirit. His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Laura Janese. As we remember Paul, let us celebrate a life well-lived, a life marked by devotion to family, faith, and country.
