Aymen Soussi Obituary

Aymen Soussi CHARLOTTE - On the evening of February 27, 2016, Aymen passed away peacefully in his sleep at the home he shared with his fiancee, Valentina Timpone in Charlotte, North Carolina, from complications of sleep apnea. Aymen was born on May 19, 1986, at Presbyterian Hospital, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was the first born child, and only son, of Tracy and Bill Soussi. Aymen lived a life full of laughter, charming people with his sarcasm and wit. After graduating from Charlotte Catholic High School, his lively spirit shined throughout his college years at the University of Alabama. There, he made lifelong friends, many of which became his brothers who looked to his leadership as President of Pi Kappa Phi. Throughout his life, Aymen was surrounded by the love of his family and friends, inspiring laughter in the lives that he touched. Those who knew Aymen best knew of his kind heart and warm nature; a few of his greatest loves were for animals, the Crimson Tide, and Valentina. Aymen is survived by sisters Laila and Nadia, parents Tracy and Bill, fiancee Valentina, and best friend Beaux. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 5, 2016, in Belk Chapel at Queens University of Charlotte. In memory of Aymen and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Reggie White Sleep Disorders Research and Education Foundation www.reggiewhitefoundation.org/support/.

Words cannot express how sorry I am for you entire family. I hate myself for losing touch with Aymen since we graduated. He was truly like a brother to all of my friends, always looking out for us. He was a great man. I know I don't have to tell you all how much he cared for you, but I have never heard a grown man speak so highly of his family (aka his girls). He touched so many life's and he will be deeply missed... My sincerest condolences to you all.

So very sorry for your tragic loss. We can't imagine the grief you must feel in losing your son. Seems like yesterday he would visit Lowell at our home in same neighborhood while in high school. May our loving merciful compassionate Lord who understands and feels our pain console and comfort your whole family, wrap you in His abiding everlasting peace during this difficult time and in the days to come.
