Frances Sohmer Moser
SALISBURY -- Mrs. Moser, beloved wife and mother, died at Arbor Acres in Winston-Salem on Friday, March 3. Frances was born in Danville, Virginia on February 2, 1917, the daughter of Ilah Bullington Sohmer and Marcus Frank Sohmer, Sr. She was wife of the late Wilson Warren Moser. Frances was a graduate of Queen's College, Charlotte, NC, and was a member of Kappa Delta sorority.
Mrs. Moser is survived by her four children and their families: William Frank Moser of Laurinburg, NC, his wife Joy, his children James Warren Moser of Charlotte and Ashley M. Comer of Ft. Mill; Robert Patrick Moser of Winston-Salem, his wife Carolyn, and their children Sheldon M. Edwards of Winston-Salem and Heather C. Moser of Baltimore, MD; Mrs. Barbara Safrit of Winston-Salem and her husband David; and Mrs. Rebecca Beaver of Albemarle and her husband David, and their children Adrienne B. Dixon of Albemarle, Wilson A. Beaver of Myrtle Beach, SC, Roy David Beaver of Albemarle; and her brother Dr. Marcus Frank Sohmer, Jr., of Winston-Salem, his wife Jean, and his four children. Her beloved Great-Grandchildren are Anne Conley and Emily Frances Edwards, Grayson, Spencer, and Kylie Dixon, and Olivia and Hollis Comer.
A service will be held at 11am on Monday, March 6 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Salisbury, NC. The family will receive friends from 4-6pm on Sunday, March 5 at Summersett Funeral Home, Salisbury, NC.
Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Foundation, 131 West Council Street, Salisbury, NC 28144, Nazareth Children's Home, P O Box 1438, Rockwell, NC 28138, Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 11100-C South Stratford Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, and Arbor Acres, 1240 Arbor Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
Summersett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
