John Renegar Obituary
October 26, 1947 - May 4, 2023
Charlotte, North Carolina - On May 4th, 2023, John Wayne Renegar, known lovingly as Wayne, died of a short illness. He was 75 years old. A native of Yadkin County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Johnnie & Nell Renegar. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Brother, and Grandfather who will be deeply missed.
Wayne was born on October 26, 1947. He obtained a B.S. in Mathematics from ECU. Wayne loved his family, math, travel and socializing with friends. He was a math teacher and entrepreneur.
Wayne was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sherry. He is survived by his partner Susan Arcuri; by a daughter, Stephanie Renegar Vincent (Adrian) of London, England; by a son, Jonathan Renegar (Crystal) of Indian Land, South Carolina; and by his grandchildren, Montgomery, Alice and Penelope Vincent and Victoria Renegar.
A lunch will be held on Sunday, May 7th at 12:30pm at Cross and Crown (300 Pineville-Matthews Rd Charlotte, NC 28105) followed by a memorial service at 2pm. A private entombment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Dottie Rose Foundation (DottieRoseFoundation.org) or CrossandCrown.org

We met Wayne almost 40 years ago when he owned a postal business we fondly called "Wayne's World". Later on I was a member of the same business networking group as Wayne for many years. Nicest guy you'd ever want to meet. R.I.P. Wayne
