Josephine Welsch Obituary

Josephine Welsch PINEVILLE - Ms. Josephine Welsch, 78, of Pineville, NC, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at CMC-Pineville. Josephine was born on March 1, 1937 in Illinois. She was preceded in death by her mother Helen McDaniels, her father Henry Skalski and also by her father that adopted her Elmer McDaniels; her son Anthony James Kasnick; and by sisters Victoria Spiess and Mary Ernest. She was passionate about working with foreign exchange students, researching her family genealogy and working with special needs children and taking care of her beloved family. Survivors include her children David Brian Kasnick and wife Diane of Downers Grove, IL, Karl Christian Welsch, of Pineville, Stephen Welsch of Pineville; siblings Delores Robideau and husband Wes of Lagunda Woods, CA, Lawrence McDaniels and wife Patricia of Gilbert, AZ, Rita Lundeen and husband Don of Villa Park, IL, Louise McDaniels of Fullerton, CA, Paula Weisman and husband Al of Placentia, CA, and Lydia McDaniels; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law Ron Spiess of Rockford, IL. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016, from 10-11AM with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 8015 Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28277. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington. An online guestbook is available at www.heritagecares.com.
