Charlotte, North Carolina - Madelyn Lorraine Rupar, 96, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away July 22, 2022. Born July 27, 1925, in Southview, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Wolf. Madelyn grew up in Southview and married Frank Anthony Rupar, the boy next door. They moved to Timonium, MD, where she raised four boys, was active in St. Joseph's Catholic Church and served as the long-time secretary at the Ridge School. They retired to Chambersburg, PA where she became an active parishioner at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She and Frank moved to Charlotte in 2018, and have been living at WaltonWood Providence. Madelyn enjoyed golf, square dancing, playing bridge, traveling and spending time with her family.
Madelyn is survived by Frank, her loving husband of 74 years; children: Kenneth and his wife, Karin, David (Marguerite), Mark (Joan), and Michael (Irma); 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Madelyn was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara and brother, Paul.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28, in the Cathedral of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the home of David Rupar, 1917 Cumberland Ave. in Charlotte. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28 at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery.
