Philip Jackson Obituary

Mr. Philip Joseph Jackson, Jr., 61, of Mint Hill, died February 4, 2003 at Duke University Medical Center. He was a well-known and well-respected local businessman who owned Phil Jackson Auto Sales. Phil was preceded in death by his parents, the late Philip Joseph Jackson, Sr. and Mary Angus Logue. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. He was also the babysitter for his much loved pets, Peanut and Darla.
His wife, Brenda Jackson of the home; and two daughters, Debbie Jackson Thomas and her husband, Jack, of Charlotte, and Sharon Jackson of Charlotte, survive him. Brothers and sisters surviving are Robert "Bobby' Jackson of Monroe, Harold "Buddy' Phillips of New Salem, PA, Preston Ingram of College Grove, TN, Sarah Roueche of Salisbury, and Robert "Bobby' Ingram of Lynchburg, VA.
Services for Mr. Jackson will be held at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Saturday, February 8, at 2 PM with the Reverend David Allen Thomas, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday night from 7-9 PM. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Mint Hill.
Memorials on Mr. Jackson's behalf should be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, NC Chapter, 5950 Fairview Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28210.

My heart weeps for you and your family. My prayers are with you.I pray that you find the strenght everyday to live life to the fulliest just as PHIL DID .Keep in mind that PHIL is watching over you. GOD is taking care of him and he will take care of you. Just have FAITH.
