C. Ives Waldo, 97, of Lake Forest Place, formerly a longtime resident of Winnetka, died April 14, 2009 at Lake Forest Place. Husband of the late Marie S. Waldo; father of Ives (Merilyne) Waldo of Denver, CO, Elizabeth (the late Norman) Nunley of Milwaukee, WI and Pam (John) Gibbon of Cleveland Heights, OH; grandfather of nine; and great-grandfather of four; brother of the late Leslie C. Waldo. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2 at Lake Forest Place, 1100 North Pembridge Dr., Lake Forest, IL 60045. Interment private. I was an honor to know Mr. Waldo for several years as his hospice chaplain until 12/08, when I took another job as a church pastor. I found him to be very smart, faithfilled, articulate, and gracious. May God comfort you in your loss.
