Estelle Bakos Obituary
Estelle C. Bakos (nee Czorniak), Veteran of WW II. Beloved wife of the late Stephen R. Bakos; Loving mother of Nancy (Clay) Hunter and Janet Bakos; Proud Grandmother of Brianna (Ken) Easley; Great Grandmother of Kody and Payton Easley; Dear sister of the late Anne Kenna and the late Edward Czorniak. She was an Evergreen Park resident since 1953 and a research assistant at Moraine Valley Community College from 1967-1981. Estelle was a WW II Navy Veteran working in the censorship office handling cable, radio, and telephone censoring; she was Head Sacristan at St. Bernadette Church, she was named Woman of the Year 1997 at St. Bernadette Church, received the Cook County Sheriff Award for Volunteerism in 1998, and was a volunteer at the Evergreen Park Senior Center. Funeral Friday, December 29th, 2017, 10:15 AM from the Kosary Funeral Home, 9837 S. Kedzie Ave., Evergreen Park to St. Bernadette Church for 11:00 AM Mass. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, December 28th, 2017 from 2 - 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
