What a beautiful life! My sympathies and prayers to the entire family at your loss. Her children and grandchildren have a stellar legacy. I am sure she saw the face of God the moment of her passing.

June 24, 2014

Having returned home from a hospital stay, I found Rosemary's telephone message about my sweet, wonderful, beautiful childhood friend, Helen Marie. I had been telling myself for two months to call her, but sadly
regret that it didn't happen.
Helen Marie first became my friend when I entered third grade at St.Felicitas School. There was no desk for me, so I was placed to share a desk with this beautiful girl with long curls and a warm smile which calmed my anxiety, made me feel welcomed and accepted. This was the beginning of a life-long friendship with five other girls who started a club and continued this close friendship that has lasted since 1933/34, from sea-to-sea(Fla-Calif). These years hold many wonderful memories that enriched our lives.
I deeply share with the McTeague family in the loss of their sweet mother. Helen Marie was a gift from God. My thoughts and prayers are with you and our door is always open if you should be in California.

Meeting Helen at St. Germaine Church for the 8:30 a.m. Mass was a distinct pleasure. Her company at the Tuesday morning coffees was a treat for everyone. Her prayers for my family were answered, as I hope my prayers for the McTeague family will be answered, and your many happy memories will sustain you.
