He was my doctor. A really wonderful person. I miss him

Family, I worked 4 Dr. Lipschultz. He treated my conditions. He was gentle. I remember when I called him up on a Sat. morning, describing my symptoms to him - he said "You have the chicken pox!" and had a good laugh! His laugh gave me strength to become a walking salami 4 the next 2 weeks! He gave me great advice about depression. Unlike today's docs who leave people on depression meds 4ever, FOR ME, he advised that I re-evaluate my life, my anxieties, every few months & report back to him. I still do that. I learned a lot working 4 him & with Jean. Toni Verschoore of Skokie, now London, UK

Four generations of our family were patients of dear Dr Lipschultz. his patients were important to him and you never felt rushed. He was always willing to talk and explain. Jean was a lovely woman.
His office staff was great. In those days when you called, you always spoke to a real live person.
We are glad that he had a nice long retirement.
He will surely be missed.

To the families of Dr. Lipschultz I extend my sympathies and condolences.
I knew him as a tireless worker for the blood drives started by him for the Skokie Board of Health. I serve on the Board of Health as did my late husband, Levon Topouzian, MD, also a good friend of Dr. Lipschultz.

I was a patient of Herb for many years.
Enjoyed his straight forward discussions and excellent treatment.
He always made fun of my softball injurys as a way of suggesting I retire
before I was forced to.

I met Dr. Lipschultz in 1964 through the Sears foundation ,when I was a senior medical student at Northwestern Univ. med. school. I remember meeting him and his wife in their kitchen in Skokie Il to start his day at Skokie Valley hospt where the respect of his patients and fellow colleagues made a lasting impression on my future medical career.
