Howard Lansdowne Obituary

Howard Joseph Lansdowne, WWII, of Winfield, IL for 43 years, formerly of Elmhurst, died Sept. 11, 2002 in Winfield. He was born July 3, 1918 in Crestline, OH. His interests were golf and his family. He was a Marketing Executive for Sears and Chamberlain Mfg.; and was active in St. John's Parish. He was a graduate of the University of Dayton. Survived by his wife, Martha Lansdowne, nee Manny; daughter, Teresa Franko of Agora, CA; sons, Gregory Lansdowne of Elmhurst, IL, Peter Lansdowne of Phoenix, AZ, Howard Lansdowne Jr. of LaGrange, IL; grandchildren, Anna Bell, Joseph, Monica, Matthew, Emily, Molly, Alexandria; sisters, Bernice Ryan and Ethel Payne, both of Galion, OH and brother, Wayne Lansdowne of Sheffield Lake, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Lansdowne, and other siblings. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 7 Mill Brook Road, Wilton, OH 03086-0914.

Over the last couple of days we recalled, chapters and events with "Our First Neighbors" in Winfield, 40 years ago.



From Mr. Lansdowne taking us fishing in the early hours of the am. through---



Teresa's fall on her paper route, but wow that Sweet 16 car and...



who could forget Peter putting bubble gum cartoon's on his kit string "to send jokes to the clouds".
