I knew Jimmy Jenks when he lived in Schiller Park in '69 and '70. I caught up with him again (this time as Jim, in the office, but James K. II in court) when he worked at the AG's office and was instrumental in getting me a job as a law clerk and later as a colleague in The Environmental Control Division. We lived in the Oz Park neighborhood and always took the "El" home from work together. He was truly an outstanding lawyer. But I remember him most as a great guy, always smiling and quick witted. His command of Finnish may have been his most unusual attribute. I can still laugh when I think of his saying, in Finn, "You are more beautiful than two pork chops!"
I know he will be truly missed.

I spoke to Donna Vetricek today and she told me of your loss.
My condolences to your family. Since I and my family live in
California now one loses touch, however I remember Jim well as an
adult and as a child when we were all growing up. I think of him
with great fondness. Sincerely, Sharon Giangiorgi

James, while I never had the opportunity to meet you, I can tell you that you were a success in life, you raised a fine daughter Allison who has become an accomplished woman and a wonderful mother to your grandchild Ledger. I know you will be missed by all.
