Joanne Touzinsky, nee Simmons was born July 26, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois, to Wilbur and Jane Simmons. She grew up in the Chicagoland area, where she and her brother Gerry lived briefly at Lydia's Children's Home and then graduated from Steinmetz High School. Joanne married Charles
Touzinsky June 1, 1957. Together they moved to Elk Grove Village where they raised their five sons. In 1997, a few years after retiring, Joanne and Charles moved to Sun Lakes, Arizona. After almost a 6 month illness, Joanne passed away on April 21, 2009. She is survived by her husband
Charles Touzinsky, of 51 years; her five sons, Timothy and wife Cornelia, Stephen and wife Anne, Jefferey, Thomas and wife Pamela and David and wife Uli. She also has eleven grandchildren; Alexandra,
Katherine, Benjamin, Taylor, Michael,
Karina, Jessica, Daniel, Jonathan, Andrew and James. She has touched each and every one of us in a different way and she will be sorely missed.
