Sr. Maria Hill, C. S. J., 85, beloved member of The Congregation of St. Joseph of LaGrange, celebrating 67 years of Religious Life. Loving daughter of the late Harry and Mary Elizabeth Hill. Devoted sister of Helen Hill and the late John K. and Richard. Dear sister-in-law of Sharon Rohling. Funeral Liturgy 6pm Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023 at the Alexian Chapel at The Congregation of St. Joseph, 1515 W. Ogden Ave., LaGrange Park, Il 60526. Sr. Maria received her B. A. in Education from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, and her Master's degree from the University of Dayton in Educational Administration, and a second Master's degree from Seattle University in Washington in Religious Education, as well as a Certificate in Spiritual Direction. Sr. Maria taught and was principal of schools in various towns in Minnesota before going into religious education at various parishes and at the Archdiocese of St. Paul/Minneapolis. As a member of The Sisters of St. Joseph of Medaille, she served on various congregational leadership teams for 20 years. She also worked as a facilitator and consultant to other religious communities. At The Congregation of St. Joseph of LaGrange, Sr. Maria continued to work as a facilitator and spiritual director, as well as a member of the leadership team.
