Maria Slonina Obituary

Maria Alwine Slonina (née Ficzko) passed at the age of 72 due to complications from Multiple Sclerosis. Maria immigrated to Chicago with her family from Germany. Maria was a loving wife to her late husband, Antoni Slonina, a mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Maria is survived by her daughters Rebecca Schultz (Matthew Schultz),Victoria Slonina (Jacob Potter), her granddaughter Vada Potter, and many siblings, nieces, and nephews. The family wishes to grieve privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to the National MS Society.

To a strong woman who was a friend, a sister in law, as well as an exceptional human being. With a smile on her face, she met her adversities. I will always remember, she would keep me up dated with information on the latest news and wishes from the family even though I moved away. I will miss that. With love.
