Erin and The Barry Family,
I just heard of Susan's death from my mom. I am so sorry for your tremendous loss and her illness. I, too, remember Susan fondly from Pitt Players. I admired her greatly for her talent, kindness and example. I am very touched by the many loving tributes to her and see that she continued her life as she started it - a loving example. I also was witness to your loving family and hope you all will have continued love and peace. Please know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of admirers near and far.
Fondest regards,
Carey Temple Harrington

Dear Barry Family,
My deepest sympathies for your loss. I regret having missed the services; but you are all in my thoughts and prayers in this time of terrible loss. I remember fondly my time with all of you during my Pitt Player years. What I recall of Sue is her beautiful voice and great talent. It sounds as though she grew into a courageous and kind person -- I wish I'd gotten to know her better.

Dear Barry and Sheridan family:
My heartfelt sympathy. Although it was oh so many years ago that Pitt Players transformed our lives, I remember Susan and the whole Barry family fondly. Our theatrical adventures as teens are treasured. May your memories carry you through this time of loss and sadness. May Susan's children carry on her positive spirit and life force into the next generation.

Mr and Mrs Barry, I was so sorry to hear the news about Sue from my sister. I always thought of her fondly whenever we would watch Sound of Music with my little girls. Sue installed a love of the theater - even if it took a little time to kick in - that I hope I am passing on to my daughters. Both you and all of the Sheridan family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I will always smile when I think of Sue my dear old Pitt Player friend. I still have the 50 page handwritten notes we sent during high school, silly pictures and many mischievous memories from our younger days. The last 7 years I was blessed with a reuniting of our old friendship and I was not surprised to witness the grace and courage of how she handled her illness. Sue had great integrity and is an inspiration to all who knew her. I was honored to be her friend. My prayers are with the family during this sad time.
Love, Maureen Flynn-Yuhasz

Susan Sheridan was an inspiration and a gift to all who knew her. I would be moved beyond words time and time again as she faced the realities of chronic illness. Susan--thank-you for the courage, hope and faith that you shared so abundantly. Thank-you for your witness that brought untold numbers of people back to faith, thank-you for your mentoring so many of us on the power of prayer. You were an awesome wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. I can see you in paradise kayaking, hiking and taking in the beauty like you did so often in Alaska. We will never forget you!

To All Who Knew and Loved Susan,
She was indeed an EARTH ANGEL who spread her love, faith and enduring grace to all. She was a wonderful, Mother, Sister, Wife, Daughter and friend to so many. She fought this horrible disease with such dignity and grace. She will be forever remembered for her laughter and bright smile, and her gentle caring spirit.
At last she is out of suffering and resting peacefully with all of those who left before her. We will forever miss you Sue.
To all family and friends....May God shower you with his abundant blessings, and comfort you through this sad time. God has his newest "Angel". God Bless you all...
Love, Michele Pitt-Jones

The first person I saw when I came to after I was knocked out in the Pitt Player production of Fiddler on the Roof was Sue and the first song I really remember hearing was her singing "Far from the Home I Love". I'm blessed to have called her Hodel, Maria, Laurie, and friend. The girl with the voice of an angel is now among them. We can all smile through our tears because Sue gave us all so many memories. To the Barry and Sheridan families, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
