Doris Clark Obituary

DORIS CLARK Doris F. Clark passed away peacefully on Monday, January 3, 2022 at the age of 103. Born Doris Fry in 1918 in New York City, she was raised in Milwaukee, WI. Doris spent her life serving her community and the country. After graduation from Ripon College, WI, she taught high school until she could join the US Army Air Corps where she proudly served as a corporal until 1945. Prior to discharge she married G. Kenneth Clark, whom she met in the service. She and her family moved to Chico in 1979 where she opened Venus De Milo Health Spa. After retiring, she enjoyed walking every morning in Bidwell Park with her friends. Doris spent many years volunteering at Enloe Hospital and served as auxiliary president from 2001-2003. Her greatest passion was her family. Doris is survived by her children Bonnie Clark, Bruce Clark (Donna); granddaughter Wendy Sykes (Demond); 2 great-grandsons Donovan and Gavin, and her niece Margie Foss (Brian) and nephew Chuck Fry (Nancy). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 15 at 11 a.m. at Glen Oaks Memorial Park. Donations may be made to Enloe Hospital Foundation or to a charity of your choice in care of Brusie Funeral Home.
