Carl Crowe Obituary
WELLSTON: Carl M. Crowe, Sr., 88, of Wellston formerly of Chillicothe, died 5:38 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born May 25, 1923, in Chillicothe, to the late Elbert and Irene Campbell Crowe. On October 15, 1950, he married the former Evelyn D. Hughes who died April 3, 1980.
Surviving are children, Roberta (Wayne) Liebe Richards, Kathryn (Donald) Krafthefer, both of Chillicothe, Mary Hill, of Hamden, Donna (Kenneth) Daniels, of Richland, WA, Carl (Robin) Crowe, Jr., of Missoula, MT, James Crowe and friend, Shelley LeMaster, of McArthur, William Crowe and friend, Vicki Lutes, of Chillicothe and Joseph Crowe and friend Sheryl Edwards, of Wellston; 18 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Debbie) Crowe and Ronald (Trudy) Crowe, both of Chillicothe; a sister, Flora (Dale) Counts, of Chillicothe; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by a son, John Robert Crowe; a daughter, Sherry Showalters; a grandson and four granddaughters.
Carl served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired from the Chillicothe VA Medical Center and was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Larry Leasure officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at Ware's from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Grandpa miss u and love u so much. Sorry that u didnt get to meet my kids. But you were as tough as u could be and couldnt hang on forever. Im glad u are out of pain and you could join grandma and everyone else that was waitin for you. We will meet again some day and make sure we have a fishing hole up there so we can go fishin. Rip grandpa. Spread your wings and fly. Rest with grandma and everyone they are waitn foe you. You will never be forgotten. Watch over us with the rest of our angels. We love ya so so much. Dont u worry about anything down here we will take care of it grandpa. We just want u to rest. See ya again.
