Steven Russell Obituary
FRANKFORT: Steven E. Russell, 50, of Frankfort, died unexpectedly Thursday , October 13, 2011 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born April 25, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late Henry and Romaine Long Russell. He married the former Sherry Barr on Nov. 13, 1984 and she survives.
Also surviving are two brothers, Rodger Cottrill of Beaver and Bobby Cottrill of Greenfield. He was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Newland and two brothers; Lucas Wayne and Ricky Russell.
Steve was a member of Plug Run Church of Christ in Christian Union. He loved to spend time talking on his CB radio as well as his time fishing.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Pastor Tim Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery, Bourneville. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. I don't know what to say. My heart is heavy and yet thankful at the same time. Steve knew and loved the Lord and I know he is now in the presence of the all mighty creator.
You will have a hard time most likely. When you loose your best friend and soul mate nothing is ever the same. Yet I know God will carry you. Think on the good and happy times.
I remember a year ago last May in McDonalds Greenfield ohio when you Steve ,Mike and I sat and had a really good time. Little did we know then that this time would come. God Be with you Sister mine and I have extra room if you need it. Love you Honey RJ

Sherry my heart breaks of this sad new's you and Steve were so special to me and Vick, and always will be, i set at time's and think about all the long nights we would play spades and then go fishing,,, Great memories will be with me all my life... Me and Vick's prayers go out to you i could write a book about all the great time's we all had togather,,, all the years... It's still hard for me to take in at this time,,, I loved Steve like a brother, and you like a sister as i do your sister's now....

Sherry, I am so sorry for your loss. Steve was always a great friend and you two were the perfect couple. I really enjoyed our church times when you visited Camelin Hill. You know in my younger days we spent many good times fishing at the lake still to this day every time i go it always reminds me of you. you had taken me and my brother in your home after mom passed away. i am so greatful that you and sherry had done that for us. i just want to give my thanks to you and aunt sherry and to say i appreciate everything you guys have done for me. you will be sadly missed but never forgotten. you will always be in our hearts. your nephew BOBBY NEWLAN
