Lois Ann (Nosal) Peloquin
CHIPPEWA FALLS - Lois Ann (Nosal) Peloquin, 86, of Chippewa Falls, WI, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born to the late John and Angeline Nosal on November 10, 1937, in St. Paul, MN, and raised in Jim Falls, WI.
Lois was a loving spouse, parent, grandparent, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering generosity.
Lois graduated from Chippewa Falls Senior High School and eventually earned an R.N. Diploma in Nursing from St. Joseph's School of Nursing, a B.A. from Winona State, an M.S.Ed. from UW-Stout, and a B.S.N. from SUNY Albany, as well as advanced certifications in foot care.
She dedicated over 60 years to nursing, serving in various roles and showcasing her passion for healthcare and education.
Lois worked as a Staff Nurse at Luther Hospital and later as the Associate Director of Nursing at Barron Memorial Medical Center. She excelled at Heyde Health Systems, Inc. (Dove Healthcare) in roles including Staff Nurse, Education Coordinator, Nurse Aide Instructor, and Director of Nursing. She also made significant contributions to nursing education as an Instructor at District One Technical Institute, CAN Professional Services, and Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College.
At Hetzel Care Center, Lois was a Primary Nursing Assistant Instructor, leaving an indelible mark on the next generation of healthcare professionals. Throughout her career, Lois demonstrated unwavering dedication to providing compassionate care and mentoring future generations in the nursing profession.
Outside of work, Lois had a passion for travel. Training and conferences took her all over the U.S., and New York City was a frequent destination both with university programs and on her own. She traveled to Russia twice, Thailand, Europe, and Japan.
She took trips through clubs and organizations with her grandchildren in tow. Whether exploring new cultures or embarking on adventures with loved ones, Lois found joy in every journey she undertook.
Lois is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Dan; her loving children: Brad, Greg, Mike, and Kipp; and their spouses: Jeffrey, Lynne, and Trish; and cherished grandchildren: John, Jake, and Audrey. She is also survived by her sibling, Richard Nosal; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly. Lois was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Sharon Berg, and brother, Roger Nosal.
Per her wishes, in lieu of a memorial service, a Life Celebration Event will be held at a future date to be announced.
Instead of flowers, donations can be made to the Heyde Center for the Arts, Chippewa Falls, WI, in memory of Lois Peloquin. Though Lois may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
