Gregory S. Downing, Sr., age 56, of Crystal River, FL, passed away April 15, 2022 at Bravera Health Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River, FL. Gregory was born on August 24, 1965 in Wichita, Kansas to Charles Oscar Downing and Toniraye Elayne Berg. Gregory moved to Citrus County 30 years ago from Wichita, Kansas. He was a Motivational Speaker and a member of the Church of God in Crystal River, FL.
Gregory was preceded in death by his father, Charles Downing.
Survived by his Mother, Toniraye Freeman; three children, Gregory S Downing, Jr. and his wife Whitney, Morgan Downing, Kacey Downing; one sister, Dawn Harkey and her husband Chris, Jimmie Freeman and his wife Emma; two grandchildren, Gregory S Downing, III and Saylor Downing; one niece, Jessica Theile and her husband Zach.
Private Cremation will take place under the direction of Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Lecanto, Florida. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Crystal River Church of God.

Greg was a great guy. He taught me to believe in myself when I went to work for him at Crystal Chevy store years ago. But he also wanted everyone to do good and always helped you get to that point. He was family and friend. RIP my friend. Thanks for all you did to help me become successful.
