Stan was born Dec. 1, 1938, the son of the late Charles and Frances (Segal) Solovich. He was employed as the sales manager for WYKE TV and FM. He was an avid sports fan for any of the Detroit teams as well as the Gators.
He was a loving husband to his wife of 21 years, Christine; a very proud father of four daughters, Jill (Michael) McDonald, Detroit, Michigan, Kelly (Mickey) Lopez, Miami, Florida, Amanda Solovich, Detroit, Michigan, and Cassie (Jeff) Poole, Newport Beach, California; his brother David Solovich, Columbia, South Carolina; and grandchildren Kailey, Eli, Justin, Logan and Madison.
A celebration and tribute to Stan's life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. The family will greet friends in visitation from 1 p.m. until the hour of service. Please consider donations to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Citrus County in Stan's memory in lieu of flowers.

Just returned from vacation and learned of Stan's passing. I had just seen him in mid July while volunteering for the Key Center Telethon for C.R.Rotary. I will remember Stan always for kindness and humor. He will be greatly missed by his Key Center family and Citrus Rotarians.

I am still stunned. Sometimes you just expect to always see or run into someone. It has been my privilege to know Stan and I will never forget the kindness and concern that he always displayed for my daughter and I. Until we meet again...

RIP Dad. You will always be in our hearts.

I have known Stan for close to 20 years now, he is a man who loves being of service to others. There isn't anything he would not do for you and was always happy to help in any way that he could. Stan ALWAYS asked about you and your family. He didn't just ask he listened to your response and remembered it the next time he saw you. A few weeks ago Stan showed me the pictures from his daughter's wedding, he beamed with pride.

Stan loved his community. Stan will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his lovely family.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Stan's passing. He was a great asset to the Citrus community, and will be greatly missed for many reasons. He was very genuine in his care and concern for others, and gave of his time and talents to help those less fortunate. Although I did not know him for very long, in the last few years that we became acquainted, he particularly was always very encouraging to me. I always came away from one of our talks being inspired and motivated to do more. He had a way of making you feel like you were a million bucks! My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family and close friends who are grieving during this time.
