William Gilmore Obituary

William "Bill" Mitchell Gilmore passed away unexpectedly at his home in Floral City, FL, January 27, 2023.

Born in Dade City, FL to Beverly and Joseph Gilmore, Bill was a graduate of Pasco High School and graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in accounting.

After retiring from Citrus County Landfill, he enjoyed living a simple lifestyle, continuing his passion of farming whether it was tending to his exotic fruit trees in his backyard garden, or tending to his water buffalo and cows. He also had a love of art and was always bringing home something new to add to his collection. If you asked him his greatest love and accomplishment, it was his family. He was a proud father and grandfather who loved spending time with his grandchildren.

His gracious heart and kind spirit touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph W. Gilmore and Beverly Johnson Gilmore of Springhill, Fl; his brother, David Gilmore of Dade City; and his sister, Leslie Lagosky of Dade City, FL. He is survived by his 3 children, Kaaryn Gilmore LiCalsi (Dan LiCalsi) of Mobile, AL, Ashley Davis (Bobby Davis) of Hernando, FL and Meredith Gilmore of Dade City, FL; 6 grandchildren, Kayla, Kaylee, Brandon, Beverly, Anna and Anthony; 3 brothers, Sammy Gilmore of Vero Beach, Fl, Joe Gilmore Of Wichita, KS, and John Gilmore of Dade City, FL; as well as 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at King Lake 9607 Govreau Rd, Wesley Chapel, FL 33545 on February 18, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
